Game 2: No More Fake!
Introduction
The scale of fake news on the web has reached its zenith! Our academy is looking for the best fake news trackers, that is why the name VIP. We are currently on a secret mission to track down one of the perpetrators of dangerous disinformation activities on a global scale. The perpetrator introduces itself as ” Eildab” and multiplies hundreds of fake news, conspiracy theories online every day and we continue to gather new suspicions to finally catch him/her. Unfortunately, Eildab’s identity still remains a mystery, so we hope you can help us catch him/her!
Before we give you confidential information that few have access to so you can undertake your own individual investigation, we need to see how good you are at these blocks. Are you in? If so then it’s your time to give the maximum during the 3-level recruitment process for the top-secret team of investigators working to unmask the disinformer.

Main Goal of The Game
The main goal of the game is to earn as many trust points and badges as possible by completing challenges (mandatory and optional). The best ones will be awarded the title of “Professional fact and lie verifier” and will gain secret information about a disinformer. In addition, they will be able to form their team and start an individual investigation. The ‘Professional fact and lie verifier’ title gives the player the opportunity to earn an additional 5+ grade.
General Rules
The player starting the recrutation has 0 trust points. As challenges are completed, the player gains a certain number of trust points.
Recruitment consists of three levels.
Each level will test you in various areas related to fake news. Each stage will include specific challenges (mandatory and optional). You will earn trust points for each challenge and you can also earn the badges. The more trust points and badges you earn, the more information we will be able to reveal to you about the perpetrator, which will help you in your own investigation.
If you manage to get a minimum of two badges after passing 3 recruitment levels and 120 rust points you will become a Professional fact and lie verifier and we will tell you all what we know about fake creator. After that you become a team leader and will build your own team that will make a great contribution to protecting people from the dirty fake news flooding the internet. No one will mislead you anymore.
Here’s what you can get at each level of recruitment:
RECRUITMENT - LEVEL 1 - FAKE NEWS - SHOW US WHAT YOU KNOW!
On this level you can earn max 105 points.
- If you reach less than 90 trust points at this level you receive the badge: SILVER KNOWLEDGE
- If you reach 90 or more trust points at this level you receive the badge: SUPER GOLD KNOWLEDGE
RECRUITMENT - LEVEL 2 - GUN TESTING - SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO!
On this level you can earn max 55 points.
- If you reach less than 35 points at this level you receive the badge: SILVER GUN
- If you reach more than 35 points at this level you receive the badge: GOLD GUN MASTER
RECRUITMENT LEVEL 3 - ACTION! YOUR OWN INVESTIGATION IN THE REALITY!
On this level you can earn max 55 points.
- If you reach less than 45 points at this level you receive the badge: SILVER EYE
- If you reach 45 points at this level you receive the badge: SUPER FAST GOLDEN EYE

A set of 10 questions about fake news to warm up.
Each question and correct answer will earn you 2 points. You can get a total 20 trust points.
QUICK ACTION! REPORT FAKE NEWS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!
OPTIONAL -Max 10 TRUST POINTS.
Choose what you do with fake news depending on the type of social media.

IN THE WORLD OF SOCIAL MEDIA – OUTSMART THE BOT!
MANDATORY – Max 20 TRUST POINTS.
You have to remember that even the best disinfomator would never achieve his goal if it were not for the people or bots who share his lies on social media. A lot of information about events comes to us through our friends, people we follow on social media, and pages we have liked or in the comments. But how do we recognise if the author of a post or comment is who he or she claims to be? How do you confirm his or her trustworthiness? Get to it!
IMMUNITY TESTING -FACT OR OPINION? FACT CHECKER IN THE LITTLE FINGER!
MANDATORY – Max 15 TRUST POINTS.
The most important task of the fact checker is to verfy the content of an article or news item. Our misinformation manipulates facts. In our academy, distinguishing fact from opinion is fundamental. Because only facts are verifiable. In this task we will test your level of immunity to manipulation
AI AND DEEPFAKES – ARE YOU BLIND OR NOT?
MANDATORY – Max 20 TRUST POINTS.
We need to check whether you suffer from a temporary or permanent inability to recognise realistic-looking images generated by AI. This is what the academy calls Deepfakes Blidness. The human eye contra AI. Is this photo real or is it a deepfake? Justify what it indicates.
FACT CHECKER IN ACTION!
OPTIONAL – Max 15 TRUST POINTS.
An email arrived in your academy inbox asking you to verify two statements using fact checking.
Use your knowledge and determine which information the fact-checker can check (2,5 trust points per each).
Check whether it is truth, falsehood or manipulation.(5 trust points per each).

It’s time for the tools and gun that will allow you to verify the authenticity of the audiovisual material posted by Eildab. Let’s get down to concrete – this is no longer a joke.
SUPER TEXT READER!
MANDATORY – Max 20 TRUST POINTS.
We’re not stopping now because we have to unmask the Disinformer. It’s time to act like a true Master of Verification. Using the search engine and prompts, evaluate each piece of information given and answer the question related to it .
You can get 2 points for each correct answer – max 20 Trust Points.
PHOTO INVESTIGATION.
OBLIGATORY – Max 20 POINTS.
Thanks to technolinguistic developments, Eildab manipulates not only written text but also audiovisual content – photos and videos – because it knows that they inspire our confidence. Do not let yourself be misled.
You can get 2 points for each correct answer – max 20 Trust Points.
‘SWISS ARMY KNIFE’ . YOU VERSUS VIDEO.
OPTIONAL – Max 15 TRUST POINTS.
It’s time to practice strengthening your information verifier skills. Familiarise yourself with the extract from the video. Using the appropriate tool and with extra intructions check the title of the series, the names of the main characters in the scene and who the main character in the series is modelled on.
For each correct answer to a question you will receive 3 trust points.
RECRUITMENT LEVEL 3 – ACTION! YOUR OWN INVESTIGATION IN THE REALITY!
A real tracker must also work in a real public space to verify that the locations in photos or videos, video reports are real and not to be fooled.
A disinformer likes to publish false information about locations and places.
HUNTING AROUND THE WORLD.
MANDATORY – Max 20 TRUST POINTS.
This is the final straight. In this challenge using Google Street View, we will take you to several countries. Your task is to guess as many of them as possible and mark them on the map. Be alert and pay attention to your surroundings and details, inscriptions, places that can guide you to the right answer. You can use your knowledge and skills from previous challenges. You can get 4 points for each correct answer – max 20 Trust Points.
BIG CITY LIFE!
MANDATORY -Max 20 TRUST POINTS.
We raise the bar and locate you in specific cities. Your task is to guess as many of them as possible and mark them on the map. (with using www.geoguessr.com).
You can get 4 points for each correct answer – max 20 Trust Points.
TURBO SPEED COUNTRY HUNTER.
OPTIONAL – Max 15 TRUST POINTS.
At the Academy we value not only knowledge and skills, but also efficiency and …. SPEED.
In this challenge you have just 3 minutes to guess each of the 3 countries. Throw out the brakes and speed up to the max! (with using www.geoguessr.com).
You can get 5 points for each correct answer – max 15 Trust Points.
FINISH LINE
The trust points you earn will translate into the final mark you receive for your actions in the game.
If you score less than 90 points throughout the game you will receive a failing grade and will face additional class work.
For earning 120 trust points and 2 badges you will receive an extra grade – 5+
